2022 National Nutrition Month

Every March, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and nutrition professionals across the country shine a spotlight on healthful eating through National Nutrition Month® At Mom’s Meals®, the registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) invite you to celebrate it with us.

This year's theme, Celebrate a World of Flavors, embraces global cultures, cuisines, and inclusivity, plus highlights the expertise of the registered dietitian nutritionists (RDN). The theme, Celebrate a World of Flavors, ensures that every culture has a seat at the table. 

This month we celebrate the diversity among us and shine a spotlight on the wide variety of cultural heritage, traditions, and recipes that influence eating choices and patterns across the world. Being curious about cultural foods and heritage opens opportunities to learn more about one another and cultivates appreciation for diversity.  

During National Nutrition Month®, the Academy encourages everyone to make informed food choices and develop sound eating and physical activity habits they can follow all year long. The Academy encourages seeking the advice of RDNs – the food and nutrition experts who can help develop individualized eating and activity plans to meet people's health goals.

Celebrate a World of Flavors highlights the unique, cultural variety of foods available to people from around the world and the role that RDNs play in supporting clients to establish healthy habits while celebrating their cultural foods and heritage. RDNs help clients fine-tune traditional recipes, provide alternative cooking methods and other healthful advice for incorporating family-favorite foods into everyday meals.

Celebrate A World of Flavors speaks to the Mom’s Meals mission to assist clients with meeting their unique nutritional and health needs with home-delivered meals. Our clients can choose from a variety of tasty meals that feature international flavors and celebrate culinary diversity.

We also use National Nutrition Month® to introduce the RDNs employed at Mom’s Meals. We come from a variety of professional experiences and enjoy the opportunities to share the healthy nutrition services of our company with clients nationwide. 

During March, we plan to share food and nutrition tips that highlight cultural heritages, traditions, and recipes and inspire an appreciation of diversity.  We encourage you to read these brief tips, sample suggested new foods, and explore new cuisines and cultures. So, we invite you to participate in National Nutrition Month® and Celebrate A World of Flavors
