Getting the right nutrition is essential to achieving and maintaining good health — yet accessing delicious meals that also address specific health conditions and accommodate personal tastes is not always as easy as it should be. That’s why Mom’s Meals®, the leading provider of home-delivered meals in the health care industry, has expanded its national footprint with a third state-of-the-art kitchen in Oklahoma City.
Mom’s Meals’ newest facility is providing nourishment and delivering wholesome meals to the homes of those who need better nutrition to support their health and wellness, no matter where they live. The 140,300 square feet facility will have the capacity to produce more than 2 million meals per week.
“Mom’s Meals is passionate about providing access to nutritious food that can help people live healthier, independent lives at home,” said Chris Choi, President of Mom’s Meals. “By adding this centrally located kitchen, we are not only able to add jobs to the Oklahoma City community, but we are also able to serve even more individuals who need access to nutritious home-delivered meals across the country. We look forward to continuing to work with public and private entities to find innovative ways to reduce food insecurity and use food as medicine to support better health.”
The new facility currently employs 75 team members and by adding an additional shift in a few weeks, that number will grow to over 100 team members. In addition, the facility can accommodate more than 500 team members, as there is space to expand operations to meet future growth opportunities. The Oklahoma City kitchen adds to existing kitchen facilities in Grinnell, Iowa, and North Jackson, Ohio.
