Catherine Macpherson, Senior Vice President and Chief Nutrition Officer, joined Mom’s Meals in 2017. In this role, Catherine leads the clinical strategy for the organization, working closely with health plans and other health care partners to ensure their food as medicine programs are designed to deliver measurable clinical, quality and cost savings outcomes. She also supports our business development, marketing and government affairs teams to broaden the awareness of and access to food as medicine programs.
Prior to Mom’s Meals, Catherine served as Vice President of Medication Adherence and Immunizations at Walgreens, led Healthcare Product Strategy at WebMD and managed health and wellness programs for Ceridian, the National Institute of Health and the American Institute for Cancer Research.
Catherine received her Master of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan. She is also a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Catherine has also served on numerous scientific advisory boards, and has advised health and wellness companies including Retrofit, Livongo and eMindful.
Her favorite Mom’s Meal menu item is Southwestern Style Chicken, Vegetable Hash & Rice, because the diced sweet potatoes are so satisfying and the ranchero sauce provides a great savory balance to the dish.
