Mom's Meals® Continues To Expand In Response To Growing Needs For Home-Delivered Meal Services

January 14, 2021

Mom’s Meals (a PurFoods company), the leading national provider of refrigerated home-delivered meals in the healthcare market, announces today the addition of a 200,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art kitchen facility located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This new kitchen facility adds to the organization’s other USDA-certified kitchen facilities in Grinnell, IA and North Jackson, OH.

“We continue to hit new milestones for growth,” said Mike Anderson, president of Mom’s Meals.  “As more people hope to remain in their homes as they age, recuperate at home after a hospital stay, or as people of all ages manage a chronic condition like diabetes, we are excited to deliver nutritious meals when they need it most. We’re grateful to the State of Oklahoma for their partnership, and look forward to supporting the economic development of Oklahoma City.”

Mom’s Meals provides fully-prepared, refrigerated meals delivered directly to homes nationwide through programs to support long-term care, chronic care, and post-discharge care. Serving the Medicaid, Medicare, and individual markets, the company’s offerings include food tailored to meet the needs of individuals of all ages with chronic conditions, including diabetes, kidney disease, cancer, and heart disease, with the goal of reducing hospital readmissions and keeping members healthier and independent at home.

Completion of the first phase of the facility is expected in December 2021, when it is also anticipated that the kitchen will bring approximately 125 jobs to the area. Future expansion, and up to 550 total jobs, is planned.
