Getting the right nutrition is essential to achieving and maintaining good health — yet 1 in 10 adults and 1 in 8 children face hunger in Iowa. That’s why Mom’s Meals is donating 4,000 shelf-stable meals to support the growing need within the Food Bank of Iowa’s school pantry program.

Mom’s Meals provides fully prepared, refrigerated meals delivered direct to homes nationwide through programs to support long-term care, chronic care, and post-discharge care, as well as for individuals who are food insecure. The company’s offerings include meals tailored to meet the needs of individuals of all ages, and allow them to better manage chronic health conditions, including diabetes, kidney disease and heart disease, with the goal of allowing people to lead healthier lives and remain independent at home. Individuals may purchase meals direct, or they may qualify for a meal benefit through their Medicaid or Medicare Advantage health insurance coverage or older adult program.
