Congratulations to Lisa Zonneville on being awarded as a Mom’s Meals Community Champion!
Lisa was nominated by Honie Allen, Aging Services Assistant at the Wayne County Department of Aging & Youth in Lyons, New York.
As the Nutrition Services Coordinator for the Wayne County Department of Aging and Youth, she oversees five congregate meal sites across Wayne County and the? home delivered meals program that provides healthy meals to seniors Mondays through Fridays. The congregate meal sites also offer a take-out service to ensure seniors are receiving a nutrition-packed meal every day.

Benae W. Hogan, LPN, CIRS-A/D was nominated by Middle Georgia Regional Commission Area Agency on Aging Director Julie Hall for her 14 years of exceptional service in case management. She describes Benae as “an exceptional model of a Case Manager in action. She is compassionate, resilient, knowledgeable, and knows when to empower self-advocacy and when to be hands-on.”
In her role as Lead Case Manager, Benae helps older individuals and their social support network generate goals and action steps to improve their quality of life through a focus on social determinants of health, with an emphasis on food and nutrition security, and also trains and empowers new Case Managers. During her career, Benae has provided 153 assessment trainings, successfully assisted over 99% of her 785 clients to sustain their social and health needs outside of a long-term care facility, and trained several new Case Managers to do the same.
According to Julie, “Having Benae as a Case Manager with her compassionate heart, passion for advocacy, and dedication to work with both clients and service providers alike sets the stage for overwhelming success.”

Natasha Masanz was nominated by Lee Martin at the Arizona Department of Economic Security (AZDES). Lee nominated Natasha because of her kind and caring nature - her clients and colleagues are always happy to talk to her. Natasha’s leadership was showcased as a new program for nutrition and was introduced by the Division of Developmental Disabilities in Arizona. Natasha helps to ensure the team has the information they need regarding Mom’s Meals and helps get authorizations in place. She also works very closely with the local food bank to help make sure her clients have access to the nutrition they need.
