In her role as Director of Research & Development, Nutrition Services, Amanda co-leads the management of Mom’s Meals menu design and leads the nutrition services team. Amanda is responsible for ensuring that all meals meet the nutrition standards required by the various states, as well as health condition specific standards.
Before joining Mom’s Meals, Amanda worked as a staff relief clinical dietitian and as food and nutrition supervisor. She was responsible for completing nutrition assessments on pre-renal transplant candidates, and had ongoing involvement with the clinical nutrition team to develop standards of care. Amanda has also worked as a sous chef and as a food broker, representing a number of well-known national food manufacturers.
Amanda earned a BS in Dietetics from Iowa State University and a BA in Biology from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
